The Future?

Would you want to live for ever, or 1000 years, how long would you want to be around? What do you think will happen in the next 50 - 100 years?

In the next 50 to 100 years I think these following global things will happen:

-Another Middle East conflict in one of the area's the Western Nations have oh-so-wisely neglected

-Another epidemic will spread worldwide

-We will get a vaccine for AID's

-The United States will be forced to stand up to Russia again

-Pakistan will break down as a nation

-One or two more hurricanes hitting the North-East, which has only happened once in me and my parents lifetime

Not exactly cheerful but I think it'll happen

Not exactly cheerful but I think it'll happen

One the not so grim note i think this will happen;

The first heart will be made by humens

A Person can visit space on a regular basis

Computer chips will be made from different materials

A cure for cancer will be discovered

We will put a man on mars

Holograms would be an eveery day thing

On the Grim note;

A middle eastern country launches a nuc toward one of the UN nations

There will be a major out break of a disease that will kill 1/10 of the population in the world

The Major world goverments will collaps

Major nations will raise war like the US against China

and others

Oh I was going to mention something about a cure for cancer but I forgot

crap i just took biology so i forgot what its called but theres is something in the cancer cells DNA that enables the DNA to not shrink when replicating its sellf, thats a main reason why a person grows old

I'd hate to live for too long, maybe 100-150 years or so if I could, but too long and I think I'd just get sick of life(kinda feel like that after living only 15 years, not as bad as I used to be though). But as for things that haven't been mentioned and would be important to me that I think will happen:

- There will be at least 3 more Thoroughbred Triple Crown winners

- There will be some sort of association that regulates racing medications nationwide, instead of things being on a state-by-state basis

- The use of Lasix will be banned from Thoroughbred racing

- We will see another breakdown on a major racing day that will spark another rush of updated safety standards

- The rate of career- or life-ending breakdowns on racetracks will decrease by at least 25%

- And yet, I believe horse racing will be banned in at least 2-3 states, and that at least one major American racetrack will be demolished in favor of development

Can't really think of anything non-racing at the moment haha

Not sure about that - drinking human blood is pretty high on my "things not to do" list. haha

It could be drinking stale human blood.

I'm guessing global warming starts to get more serious, people panic, over population gets more serious too as people discover cures to diseases, some time during that, a new type of evolved disease wipes out some people. And wars happen over resources and stuff. And the blood and testicle things you guys are talking about... ew... raw? Cooked chicken balls are kind of good, but raw is kind of.....

We are at the dawn of a new beggining medicine, thats why i posted this topic they say wuth current technology that if people are alive by 2030-2040 the life expectincy in the Us will go from around 80 to around 120 and more, because of breakthroughs in medical science we can already print live cells, clone animals, make nanobots that kill cancer and other things (all of that has been done already) so i can see that either the people born after 2000 or people born after 2010 will almost likely see the year 2200 in there life time

im thinking something bads gonna happen with the U.S. and korea.cause the way there "testing" all these missiles and stuff...its kinda mystrious.then we might go over there (like we did with Iraq) see if there hiding anything,then they will get mad at us...

If North Korea launches a missile at us they'll get the same fire power ten-fold back at them. They're smart enough to know who to pick a fight with.
