Once again only in Japan. I forgot what the town name was, but its where Jasmin is. after going to the left and entering in the building. You see the very first battle tower and Crystal version being the first online pokemon game. BEAT THAT DS!!!

In japan you can get this tool called the GB mobile(in shape of a cell phone) connecting to the extension cable you can be able to play a nation wide battle.
