Gliscor OU Pokemon Empty

Gliscor OU Pokemon Gliscor
Held Item: Choice Band
Ability: Hyper Cutter
Nature: Jolly
Ev's: 252 attk, 40 hp, 216 spe
Moves
- Earthquake
- Stone Edge
- Aerial Ace/Ice Fang
- X scissor/Fire fang

Gliscor has a fairly over all coverage move set. This set is very effective in OU since it counters common OU pokemon. Gliscor reaches 433 attack which coming down with a 150 powered EQ can hurt. Stone Edge hurts Gliscors other flying companions Gyarados and Salamence which Ko's both with Stealth Rocks in effect thanks to its ability. Aerial Ace allows you to KO Breloom and Heracross, while Ice Fang KO's impish 252 hp, 252 def salamence the majority of the time, not to mention flygon. Lastly X Scissor has a very very slight chance of Koing Celebi with Stealth Rocks in effect which can cause you trouble, while fire fang allows your to KO Scizor, 2KO Forretress, and hits Bronzong for some fair damage.

The 216 ev investment lets Gliscor reach 307 speed, being able to outspeed Lucario's that may pack Ice punch, and Roserades that may carry HP Ice. After 307 speed there is really no need for more speed investment unless you want to outspeed Electivire, but the majority of the time electivire does not have a speed boosting nature so theres no point. After that dump the other 44 points in hp.

PostSubject: Scarf Gliscor   Gliscor OU Pokemon EmptyFri Jul 31, 2009 11:46 pm

Held Item: Choice Scarf
Ability: Hyper Cutter
Nature: Adamant
Ev's: 252 attack, 216 speed, 40 hp
Moves
- Earthquake
- Stone Edge
- U Turn
- Fire Fang/Ice Fang

Similar To Choice Band Gliscor but with slight difference in move set. Choice Scarf Gliscor Surprises pokemon which may include Heatran, Salamence, Gyarados, Weavile, and Jolteon, which will normally expect you to be slower than you and get a easy KO or 2KO, while its quite the opposite in this case. Earthquake is for stab, Stone Edge allows you get get Ko's Gyarados (2HKO BulkyGyara) and KO'd Salamence. U Turn is a must have as it allows you to get away from pokemon that you would normally switch from while still getting some damage in, or predicting your opponent to switch so you can have a appropriate counter. The last option is between fire fang and ice fang. Fire fang 2hko's scizor, while ice fang is your only option against Flygon otherwise who resist all of your moves.

The EVs in this set makes you able to reach 280 speed which allows you to out speed scarf tran and scarf lucario.

Baton passing Gliscor/ sweeper.
Item: leftovers/ yache berry/ lum berry
Nature: impish/Jolly
ev's:
- 216 speed, 252 Hp, 40 def (for walling)
- 216 speed, 252 Hp, 40 atk (for sweeping)
- 196 sp.def, 252 Hp, 60 speed (for use with screen support and rock polish)

Moves:
Sword dance/ rock polish
Roost/ taunt
Baton pass/ stone edge
Earthquake/ rock polish/ stone edge

There are many possibilities for this set, gliscor can switch in on many physical attackers in OU and then set up on them. It can also seve as an excelent lucario counter with a jolly nature, a stall breaker and a sweeper. Jolly vs impish is you choice, do you want to support the team more and get an extra sword dance or handle faster threats like lucario. Rock polish or sword dance depends on your team's needs and both can be used. Roost can allow you to baton pass continuously and stall out oponents, while taunt allows you to stop oponents setting up on you or phazing your set up, the last slot can be anything dependeing on if you want to counter lucario and metagross with EQ, stone edge handles gliscor switch in's like zapdos, gyrados and salamence.

The ev's, first set is standard wall ev's, the second is if you want to sweep yourself and don't have baton pass and the last is if it is a pure baton passer set with light screen and reflect support as the ev's mazimise hit taking abilities from both sides of the spectrem, while the speed is for after a rock polish so you outpseed scarf gengar.

Gliscor is the best baton passer in OU, and with roost can continually support the team.

Ultimate Physical tank

@Leftovers
Impish
Sand Veil in a Sandstorm Team or Hyper Cutter if you want no attack loss
252HP/6Atk/252Def

~Ice Fang
~Earthquake
~Roost/U-turn
~Stealth Rock/Roost

This thing walls like a beast. Scizors have to set up a lot and it has been known to survive a 2-3 SD'd Bullet Punch. (Average doesn't even do 25% to Gliscor)
If you think it's completely unnecessary having all these EVs then oh well that's your opinion but it works fine for me.
Ice Fang helps with dragons and can take a solid 1/3rd of Latias (Bearing in mind only 6 Atk EVs) So if it doesn't have Recover you do have a chance of beating it. Earthquake is standard and does around 50% to the standard Scizor with Life Orb damage it makes it pretty easy to take down. Stealth Rock is there if you don't have a Pokémon with it already.. and U-turn is to get the hell out obviously and is a good attack against things that take SE damage from it. Roost can be handy too. Just recovering off half your HP.

So there you have it really.... not ripped from Smogon or anything mine and themole's own set
