How to use RNG Abuse to get a shiny.

If you can't be arsed to read skip to the bottom there's a video.

Reading Tiem

You will need
-Action Replay (for Secret ID)
-Clock
-Pokétch Apps 6 15
-5 Pokémon in your Team
-A Sweet Scent-er is useful
-Pokéballs

First of all you need the RNG Reporter http://www.eggmove.com/rngreporter/

You need your ID and Secret ID. You will normally need to use AR to get your Secret ID

You can look at this from Smogon which tells you how to get it from your own shiny Pokémon.

Press L R To change your money into your SID.

(Sorry if against the rules to post codes but it's not an actual game hack...)

Starting off

Right you need to Synch your DS Clock to another clock (Could be a normal one or your PC one)

You need 5 Pokémon in your team... not 3, not 4 or 1. 5 Exactly.

You can use an IV Seed Finder or a Stat Seed Finder.
IV Check code is needed for the IV Seed Finder and you need to be in an area with Pokémon level 50 for the Stat Seed finder.
Either work so it's ok.

Switch to Pokétch App # 5

Go to a patch of grass (Under Solaceon if using the IV one and Route 225 for the Stat one) and Save your game. Then soft reset (L R Sel Start)

Button Bash "A" Through the startup screens making a note of the time as you hit "A" to Continue and inputting it into the Seed finder.

Catch a Pokémon..

Now once it's caught you need to use the RNG Reporter. Make sure the date is correct and the time you continued is input and then enter the necessary details.
(IV = Nature and IVs)(Stat = Nature, Characteristic and Stats)

Press Find.

Pick the one nearest to 15 Seconds delay and 600 Delay. (Pretty easy to find) Press "OK"

Then.. Make sure you have your ID and SID inputted in the top Right.

Check the shiny box underneath otherwise it won't hatch shiny.

Go to the Drop down menu in the top left and make sure it's on "DPPt Egg PID (Normal)"

Press "Generate"

A list will appear at the bottom. The ones at the top of the list are the ones you want. (At the bottom you get like 8000 taps.. which you don't want)

Reasonable Seeds (with my patience) are anywhere up to 4000 Frame.

If the Seeds are all unreasonable or don't have the right nature just Soft Reset and try again.

Once you have your Seed you want. Right Click and go to "Calculate Pokétch Taps." A little box will pop up telling you how many to do.

So now you will want to press the Button on the Pokétch and go to App #6 The Happiness checker. Tap the appropriate number of times.

1 Tap is making your little Pokémon sprite thingys jump once.

After doing this the appropriate number of times you will want to Switch up to App # 15 - The coin flip. The Box will also tell you how many of these you want to do... don't worry the max it can be is 11.

Once you have done that the appropriate number of times the you gotta get outta there. Fly to Solaceon or just bike if you're close.

You will need to now put your parents into the daycare. Depending on the Nature you will get depends on what you should put in. If you just want it for the kicks of hatching your own shiny... it doesn't matter.

Run around until the egg appears in the daycare. Then Save if you want to Soft Reset for IVs. If not just get the egg.

You can use a Fast Egg Hatch AR code if you want but it's not necessary.

Hatch the egg and voila it should be shiny with the Nature and Ability stated.

Awesome. Still too much work for my taste, not to mention without an AR it seems to be a bit more difficult, but I might have to try this one day.

You can use it for IV Check and Fast Egg hatch but they aren't needed.

Btw you can find the SID by pokesav and having a caught shiny that you have caught in the game you are trying to RNG. Maybe I should right a guide on finding your Secret Id through a shiny.
