Set #1: Swords Dance
Held Item: Life Orb / Leftovers
Ability: Technician
Nature Adamant
EV's: 32 HP / 252 ATK / 224 Speed
Moves
-Swords Dance
-Bullet Punch
-Brick Break / Super Power
-X-Scissor / Roost

Scizor, today is by far one of the biggest metagame threats in OU. Due to the fact its based atk is a whopping 130, Swords Dance, Amazing bulk, and 2 useful Priority moves, which are Bullet Punch and Quick Attack. Swords Dance, basically doubles the already ferocious atk of Scizor preparing you for a game ending sweep. Bullet Punch not only provides STAB, but also Priority, which is a must. The power total is 80 after factoring in STAB and Technician bonus. The next slot can be tricky, Brick Break allows you to break screens and has no drawbacks, but it really isn't that power. Super Power OHKO's blissey, sometimes will make Scizor switch out. Both of which provide you coverage against opposing Steel Types. Now for the last slot X-Scissor provides good STAB, but it doesn't really provide much coverage. Roost is good from taking damage from life orb. Now for the item, Life Orb is obviously the best choice so just in case you need to sweep right away, but if you need it to live longer you can swap it out for Leftovers. EVs are given so Scizor can allow 11 Life Orb uses before dieing, it can also outspeed max neutral speed, Tyranitar since 224 speed evs will reach 222 speed assuming, that it has 31 ivs.

Set #2 Choice Band
Held Item: Choice Band
Ability: Technician
Nature Adamant
EV's: 248 HP / 252 Atk / 8 Spe
Moves
-Bullet Punch
-U-turn / X-Scissor
-Super Power / Brick Break
-Pursuit

Choice Band Scizor, is a major problem to deal with. With its massive atk 591, Scizor can rip through a plethora of fragile Pokemon. Bullet Punch is there for obvious reasons, provides STAB, Technician Bonus, and priority which is helpful against faster Pokemon. As for the next slot, U-Turn is the preferred option so Scizor can scout the opponents team. You can use X-Scissor for the extra power. For steel coverage, Super Power is preferred, since Choice Pokemon, normally switch out after their kill. Brick Break however doesn't lower the atk and def stat, and helps you stop those commonly used screens. Pursuit bundled up with Bullet Punch lets you play mind games with the opponent, it will also nail the likes Latias, Cresselia, Gengar, and much more.

Set #3 SD Tank (~Lilcrazy)
Held Item: Leftovers
Ability: Technician
Nature: Adamant
EV's: 220 HP / 112 ATK / 176 Sp. DEF
Moves
-Swords Dance
-Roost
-Brick Break
-Bullet Punch

This is more of a bulky version of the SD set. Roost allows more survivability. Brick Break provides coverage against steels. Bullet Punch is for the priority, STAB, and Technician bonus. The given ev spreads allow Scizor to live 6 Sp. ATK Weezing's Flamethrower and the hp evs hit 336 which allows in Leftovers recovery. This set may lack the sweeping power, but this set allows Scizor to have a much more easier time setting up for a sweep.

Set #4 Baton Pass

Held Item: Leftovers
Nature: Adamant
EV's: 248 HP / 88 ATK / 172 SPE
Moves
-Baton Pass
-Swords Dance / Iron Defense / Agility
-Roost
-Bullet Punch / X-Scissor / Substitute

With excellent typing, bulkiness, roost, and a plethora of options to pass on to opponents, enables Scizor to be one of the most best baton passers in today's metagame. Now for your 1st decision Swords Dance is the prior option due to Scizor's already massive atk, and could help up others that can't buff up there stats. Iron Defense can be passed to Pokemon such as Blissey to cause major mayhem. Agility passing is helpful for Pokemon that lack speed, but have good sweeping power. Roost allows Scizor to maintain itself to be able to have more time to stall and setup. For the last slot, Bullet Punch is the best choice as it not only provides STAB and Technician bonus, but also priority which is good if you do not have agility. X-Scissor should be used if Scizor's ability is Swarm and it also dents Cresselia. Substitute adds in more things to baton pass to. The given Hp evs gives Scizor to have great bulkiness. The speed evs are there to outspeed naive scarftran after a agility.

Set #5 Anti-Lead (~Jackfrost)
Held Item: Occa Berry
Ability: Technician
Nature: Adamant
EVS: 248 HP / 252 ATK / 8 SPE
Moves
-Counter
-Bullet Punch
-Pursuit
-U-Turn / Roost

This set can cause plenty of problems to other leads, thanks to Scizor's priority and bulk. Occa Berry and the given HP evs ensures that Scizor can live a Fire Blast from Naive Azelf most of the time. With its excellent defense, Scizor can counter back any physical attack thrown at it and then finish it off with bullet punch. The Pursuit / Bullet Punch combination lets you play mind games for the opponent making it to decide rather to stay in or switch out. For the last slot, U-turn allows you to scout the opponents team and provides STAB, or you can have Roost in the final slot to increase survivability.

Set #6 Your Trapped

Held Item: Life Orb / Expert Belt
Ability: Technician
Nature: Adamant
EV's: 176 HP / 100 Atk / 176 SpD / 56 Spe
Moves
-Pursuit
-Bullet Punch
-U-turn
-Roost

This set usually ensures that Scizor will get its kill. Most the time faster when someone has Pokemon out such as Gengar, Alakazam, and Azelf, they normally predict that you will Bullet Punch and switch, well not this time. You can safely live most the attacks that those Pokemon use throw and Scizor, so using Pursuit is a safe option. Any of those Pokemon willing to switch will sure be OHKO'd with Pursuit power being doubled plus the technician bonus. Bullet Punch is for STAB and provides priority in case of faster threats. U-Turn allows you to scout the opponents team usually best when finishing off a Pokemon. Roost allows more ensures that Scizor will live longer. For the choice of item Life Orb is better so you can KO most the threats listed above and you can easily later roost it off. Expert Belt can be used, but Bullet Punch doesn't have super effective damage on many Pokes, and makes Scizor lack its power it would of had with Life Orb, but it allows Scizor to not be fainted as easily. The given ev's allow this set to work in OU and Uber and live plenty of blows.

Set #7 Uber Scizor (Sumeet / Jude)

Held Item: Life Orb
Ability:Technician
Nature: Adamant
Ev's: 176 Hp / 168 Attack / 176 Special Defense
Moves
-Bullet Punch
-X-Scissor
-Pursuit
-Roost

Like the trap set above, but with a couple twists. Bullet Punch can 2KO Rayquaza all the time with Stealth Rock and give problems to Deoxys-A. X-Scissor over U-Turn simply because, he's not outspeeding anything and he's not spamming U-Turn when near everything in ubers outspeeds him. X-Scissor hits Mewtwo, Darkrai and Latios for the OHKO unless they are massively investing in Hp and Defense. Pursuit and X-Scissor hits the many Psychic's in Ubers for Super Effective damage on their weaker Physical defenses. Roost is here to help Scizor stick around and continue terrorizing the Uber metagame.

Other Options

Scizor also gets Iron Head and Night Slash which are both pretty useful in Scizor's movepool. Iron Head would work good on a Choice Scarf as priority isn't needed really when a Pokemon is so fast. Night Slash allows you to hit Rotom and Rotom forms, which will always give Scizor plenty of problems. Reversal can be used on a Sub-Swarm set.

Scizor has some support options which actually tend to be useful such as; Light Screen, Rain Dance, Safeguard. Knock Off can be used, but Scizor's atk is massive so most people prefer sweeping. Substitute can be used against the likes of Dusknoir to prevent burn status.

Opinion

Scizor today is one of the most biggest threats of the metagame, in both OU and Uber, due to its monstrous 130 base atk stat, Great Typing (1 Weakness), A great movepool, Bulkiness, Technician, and Priority moves. Once you have put up Swords w/ Life Orb Scizor can be a force to reckon with, which is why you should be prepared for it.

Counters / Revenge

The Rotom Appliances, basically wall every attack thrown at it. Rotom-H can OHKO Scizor with Overheat. Most Rotom pack Will-O-Wisp which will cripple Scizor's Atk making him useless. The only moves they have to watch out for are Pursuit and Night Slash, but with there bulkiness they can still live it.

Heatran resists both of Scizor's STAB moves and threatens Scizor with its STAB Fire. Usually forcing Scizor to switch out (this is bad for the SD set), however it needs to watch out for Brick Break and Super Power. Magnezone traps Scizor and resists Scizor STAB's, but is also weak to Break Brick and Super Power. Scizor can easily be 2HKO'd from STAB Thunderbolt and 1HKO'd by Hidden Power Fire. Bulky Arcanine poses an immediate threat as it resists both of its STAB and sends out Intimidate which will cripple Scizor's ATK. Also, Scizor needs to watch out for Arcanines STAB.

Walls such as Hippowdon and Gliscor can easily counter the Choice Band set. But they can be 2HKO'd by Scizor from SR damage (after Scizor sets up a SD). Hippowdon can live the attack and then phaze it out with Roar. Skarmory shall easily wall most the sets thanks to its typing and excellent defenses and is only 2HKO'd by Super Power. Skarmory can also phaze it out with whirlwind and shall easily take the hit.

Shedinja is immune to almost every move in Scizor's movepool, so if this is a problem be sure to pack Pursuit or Night Slash as this 1 Pokemon can ruin a perfect sweep and backfire's you with Will-O-Wisp.

Infernape couldn't really switch into a move from Scizor that was used after SD, but can revenge kill easily as it resists STAB Bullet Punch and can send it to the flames of hell with a Fire Move.
